When Jake first entered the hospital they said it would be a positive sign if he reached for his respiration tube. The thought is that any conscious person would not want a respirator tube and try to remove it. So, last night Jake made the move and grabbed at his respiration tube. This is considered a positive purposeful action.
So how is this type of behavior rewarded? With restraints, but one has to wonder if the confinement is because of the pinching the nurse incident or grabbing at the respiration tube, I guess you'll have to decide.
Jake had an MRI today, the results were not yet available. His temperature continues to hover around 102.
Sawyer is getting ready to hit the books... back to Fairbanks for school tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers for safe travel. Josie continues to practice for her swim meet on Sept 9th at Homer. Jeremiah is getting ready for his football game on Saturday at North Pole , 7pm , if anyone is in the area. We're looking forward to Shaphan coming home on Wednesday as well.
The encouragement of family and friends is overwhelming. Thanks to each and every one for your prayers and positive thoughts.

Good thinking, I will spread this site around, be sure and keep it updated as frequently as possible. No need for long stories, just a short update will do fine. The more current the news the better. Good job on the posting so far, more pictures.
Love and prayers.
