What a wedding it was

We have had a great time having all of my family up here getting ready for the wedding. It has calmed down now (with only my sister, Beth here) I can post some photos of the wedding.

I think we had over 70 people at the rehersal dinner with all of Jake's family and all of Kristina's that were up here. Autumn and Shaph and Autumn's folks Patti and Jackson were sweet enough to do all of the prep for that, so you know it was really good




Without their help my mom, sister, brother, neices nephews, my other kids or Rick and myself would not have been able to help with any of the set-up. And believe me there was a lot to do. There was hauling of tables, and the beautiful dishes from the church building, and the arch and pipe and drape, Sawyer getting the sound system set up and brought over, and my brother Tim spent who knows how many hours on scaffolling hanging tool and lights ( 6 hours would not be an exageration). There was ironing out the wazoo that Mom and Josie helped with (at least 3 hours or more) We had to get a foot bridge from the Lees in Eagle River and Miah helped sand that. My neice and nephew, Brittany and Cody helped their dad on the scaffoling. There were over 300 chairs to set up and tables for the food, tents for the cakes and tables for the guests. And that was just on Friday at the Raven Hall, there were at least 5 women Thurs and Friday working at the Church Building cooking and getting the food ready for the reception. Sometimes I felt like a chicken with my head cut off, but it all came together and looked beautiful.

On the day of the wedding it was very relaxed and so much fun. We showed up at noon, Well Rick showed up way before that to build a box that Bill was going to have to stand on.

We took some pictures before hand and the (Groom's family, Brides family) and then Bride and Groom took some with the whole wedding party after the wedding.










The wedding itself was not too long and was nice. Bill did a great job. All of those 300 chairs were filled and then there were still folks standing in the back. The food that the ladies from Church prepared was great and Candie a friend of our family's made so many great dishes. Wendy made the wedding cake and Candie made the grooms cakes. They were all really beautiful, I don't think I have ever seen a grooms cake (or cakes) with that much finese put into it. Her whole family (Candie's that is)helped pull this wedding together. Her daughter, Kaydee, did the bouquets and boutineers another daughter, Holly and Holly's husband Ross made all of the kids and my sister Beth happy with cotton candy that they were spinning on site. They helped come up with decorating ideas (like the bridge for them to stand on)long before the wedding and I know without their help we would have been lost. They are great friends. To fly in from the bush and help just because they care for us and Jake.










Jake and Kristina introduced their wedding party instead of having a recieving line. It made it very personal. They said something very sweet about each attendant.

Perry and I were both nevous about dancing with our kids because neither of us are very good dancers so we thought he would dance with his daughter the same time I danced with Jake. (whee took that presure off because we all know most everyone is looking at the bride) Everyone seemed to enjoy the dance floor and various people would go and cut a rug, it felt like a party.

Jake got his license the day before the wedding so he got to drive off with his bride.

I know they have a good start since they both Love God and Love His son, I pray them God's richest blessing on them and their marriage.
