wDear Jake,
Glad you got the canes and think they're cool. I'm sure Papa would be very pleased to know that you're using them. He was such a great guy and I still miss him. He sure did like it when you boys came down to visit. He was so afraid we'd let something happen to you especially when we took you fishing. You know, there were 5 boys and 1 girl in his family, and the girl was the youngest like Josie. He thought that was pretty neat for your family to be like his was growing up.
We just finished watching Texas defeat Texas Tech by the skin of their teeth. Tech got ahead 24 points before Texas ever scored. The Texas quarterback, Colt McCoy, is a fine Christian young man. His dad and Jordan Shipley's dad were roommates and played football at Abilene Christian. Jordan Shipley is the boy from Burnet who plays for Texas and his dad is the coach there. The boy who was the quarterback at Burnet when Jordan Shipley played is Stephen McGee, the quarterback at A&M. They weren't televised tonight, but they beat Baylor 31 to 21. We intended to go to Burnet's game last night, but thought it might be pretty cool sitting out. They beat Vista Ridge, a school in Cedar Park, 36 to 24, or something like that.
Aunt Judy and Uncle Duryl came today to go to her class reunion. They had a good time and got back in time to watch the end of the Texas game with us.
Keep up the good work. It sounds like you're really doing great in physical therapy. Too bad you didn't GET to cook last week. I know you'll enjoy having Aunt Beth visit. Uncle Arlan hurt one of his knees last week and has an appointment to see a Dr. next Tues. Hopefully, he won't have to have surgery on it.
Have a happy Halloween and don't let the goblins get you.
Love you lots and praise the Lord for your continued recovery.
Bubba & Granddad

Congrats G-nephew, glad you are still improving. Devon is going to try the new hearing aid molds her doctor has been pushing on her.
The new meds for the parkinsons appear to be helping.
I dressed up for halloween as a grumpy old man, same costume i wear every day.
Devon did some goth zombie thing. Pictures to follow maybe tomorrow.
